Service is good and attentive. But I'm super disappointed that after eating at 2 postings pancake houses here in Atlanta, I still can't find the puffy Dutch baby. The one in Cheshire bridge was small and flat. When I went to the stone mountain outlet this morning, I asked the server which was their Dutch baby (showing both pictures), I was told they can do both. And the puffy one was actually the German. So I ordered the German. What a disappointment. It's bigger but just as flat. I'm going to attach all 3 pictures. The flat ones from Atlanta. The puffy one is from San Diego.

The food is delicious! I had the GA pecan pancakes with cheese grits and hash browns. The place was quite busy but the food arrived quickly and the service staff are friendly. The prices are affordable for the amount of food you get.

This place is where you need to get breakfast; no others compare. The service is extremely friendly and food was top notch! One of the waitresses came by (not even ours), and offered whipped cream for my husband's pancake! Extremely thoughtful staff; you can definitely tell their manager takes care of them. We live about 250 miles away from this place, and I know we will be back :)

I was pretty happy to see 'The Original Pancake House' driving down Memorial after a looooong morning in Recorder's Court. I've only had good experiences and good food at their 'Cheshire Bridge' location. We came in around noon, so it was a bit busy. The sign at the door said to seat ourselves and grab menus, only a few minutes later our server came to greet us and take our orders. The BF decided on the 'Steak & Eggs', I was looking for the 'Bacon Pancakes' on the menu - I remember loving them at the Cheshire Bridge restaurant - but I didn't see it unfortunately, I decided to get my bacon fix anyway with a side of eggs (scrambled with cheese) and a fruit cup. Both entrees came with a mini stack of buttermilk pancakes. Almost 20 minutes later our food came out, and by this time the crowd had died considerably. Though it's noted on the menu that the food takes longer to come out for "quality", so I guess we shouldn't have been surprised. The eggs: Really overcooked and flavorless, I had about two bites, and proceeded to douse it in salt and pepper which helped, slightly. The bacon was bad...said no one ever; it was typical - yummy delish. It's hard to mess up bacon for me, as long as it's not burnt! But I remember the bacon being more...glorious, more tender at the other location. The pancakes were nice, really fluffy - pancake perfection. I also got to try the BF's steak, which I did enjoy - though, I do love A1 sauce and it was quite smothered in it. The fruit cup was typical fruit, though some of the cantaloupe wasn't fully ripened. Overall, it was a solid breakfast, but I wholeheartedly agree with Ebony B., this place pales in comparison to it's sister location on Cheshire Bridge/Lavista.

As he sat back from the table, the food coma arrested his basic functions. The smell of delicious syrup in the air. It was as if heavens main kitchen sent a special order of pancakes from on high, flipped with God's own spatula. It was then he noticed a single joyous tear caressing his cheek, goosebumps, always OK this morning.

This house made every sense of the word ORIGINAL in its name! I liked the old feeling that I got from this location. I came here after my sister graduated and was with a big group. We sat ourselves and buckled our seat belts! The menu was very extensive and but still easy to read. I order the Western Omelette and it came with a short stack of pancakes. I was not ready for what came to the table! I had a huge omelette that took up basically the whole plate! It was extremely flavorful. The syrup that came to the table was nice and hot and came out like water and soaked right into the pancakes! That maple syrup was the BOMB!!! Staff was super speedy and served everyone in timely matter. S/N: If the food doesn't have your coming back the Sweet Tea will have you coming back for sure!!!

What a pleasant breakfast we had today! First time to visit the original pancake house and it was amazing. We are looking forward to come back here again just to bring the kids for breakfast. Kelly was a pleasant server, super friendly which goes the same for the whole staff. The food was incredible especially the Apple Dutch baby it was huge and delicious! I highly recommend this place to anybody who is in the mood for great service and a great feeling breakfast. Don't forget to ask for kelly.

This is the place we bring out of town guests, and where we come every Sunday. The apple pancake is to die for, the dutch babies are perfect and I have no idea how they get their omelets so light and fluffy. Will continue to come until we are old and grey.

I visited this place with my family. We ordered three eggs and pancake dishes one with pork sausage patties, one with turkey sausage patties and another with Canadian bacon. Sides were cheese grits and skillet potatoes. All agreed that we won't be back. There was a small wait which is to be expected on a Sunday morning. Cheese grits were nasty. It was orange cheese powder added to mediocre grits. They were left uneaten. So were those salty and unimpressive potatoes. I ordered the turkey sausage and the waitress mixed that order up. But since she specifically TOLD me it was turkey sausage I tasted it. It was not. So if you don't eat pork then don't come here as not even the servers know what you're eating. I also had to flag down another waitress for a coffee refill since my server let my cup run dry and was nowhere to be seen to ask for a refill. I even started to get up and just take my cup to the cashier and ask her for a refill. We just got the plain pancakes and they were unimpressive. So was the corn syrup, i.e. not maple. The only bright spot were the scrambled eggs and that's not enough to bring me back to a restaurant for breakfast. The food was pretty much panned by everybody. We won't be back.

Pancakes are the best! This place specializes in them. I ate here on a Sunday. The place was packed. The staff did a great job of handling the crowd. I'm assuming this is how it is every Sunday. I got the Cinnamon Raisin Pancakes and scrambled eggs. The smallest offering you can get is 3 pancakes and you can get a lot more. However, you can get waffles, crepes, etc. There are several sides you can get also like oatmeal, fruit, applesauce. I enjoyed the pancakes I had with the Apple Butter syrup. Overall, the place was clean and the food was really good and filling. I'd visit again, but come early if it's a Sunday.

The Original Pancake House is the white bathrobe of breakfast restaurants, basic but essential. That may explain the line out the door at the Cheshire Bridge location on weekends; people will wait 30-45 minutes for a seat. I was in that number until I discovered the location on Memorial Drive. Same carb-fueled breakfast, no delay. No line cutting paranoia. No pressure to rush through my meal and yield the table to someone waiting in desperation outside. I can take my time and enjoy my breakfast. They offer classic diner fare: pancakes, crepes, omelets and hot cereal with assorted meats. I'm a huge fan of their golden brown waffles. Truth be told, many of the breakfast places in the city have similar menus. But why spend precious minutes of your weekend waiting in a queue when you don't have to?

Hmmm...this is not the Original Pancake House I remember as a kid. The food was okay. I ordered the pancake, eggs and bacon special. The pancakes were tasty but small for the price, a little larger than the palm of my hand. There were four slices of bacon so I had enough for leftovers and it was good. The eggs were yellow and fluffy (like IHops) so I suspect they are powdered. I was a little scared of them. I also deducted a star for the floors. Granted, I came in right before closing but they could use sweeping and mopping. It's one of my pet peeves. It was $9 which is expensive for what I got. I might give it another try for the waffle or Apple Dutch pancake everyone is raving about. But if I return, I'll skip the eggs and get it to go.

Well guys, OG Pancake Hut is undead to me now. Which is very thematic since it's Zombie Jesus Day today! My love for pancakes has been resurrected, hallelujah! For some reason, I woke up this morning with a hankering for banana pancakes. I opened my eyes, and said, 'Boo, let's go to Pancake's house!" He was into it, so we drove the amazingly short distance. The place was packed since it's Easter and all, but we didn't even have to wait in line. A super friendly dude told us to sit wherever we wanted. Our waitress was adorable and sweet, and complimented my dress AND my burping hamburger keychain. I love her. I got a half stack of nannercakes, an order of bacon, and I asked her for some pecans to toss on my cakes. She brought everything quickly, refilled drinks as needed, and stayed in a good mood even while her next table over was filled with screaming kids. My food was delicious, my husboo's food (sausage and some peach pancakes) was ALSO delicious, and we were even impressed by the scary-sounding tropical syrup. It looked to be freshly blended orange and pineapple, and was sweet but not overpowering. All told, including tip, we got out of there for under $30. I mean it's basically a diner, sure, but it was all tasty and QUICK. I think we were in and out in under 45 minutes! I will definitely be back. Though I might avoid the hash, because the father of the noisy kids at the next table got it and it looked straight outta the Hormel can. No thanks, gimme the bacon!

I just don't get it. I've had better food at IHOP which is sad because they're not even good. There are so many local places to eat breakfast so go anywhere but here. Trust me.

I frequent the original pancake house in my home state of SC and love the service but while out of town I'm highly disturbed my coffee wasn't filled and my pancakes came out when I was half way done with my bacon and eggs ,the manager corrected it but my waitresss wasn't attentive at all!

I grew up down the street from here and have been going to OPH for as long as I can remember. The weekends are cray cray and I don't come here at all on the weekends. Their portions are HUGE and the food is pretty consistent but the coffee sucks, it's way too acidic. My favorites here are the Dutch baby and the peach pancakes with real whipped cream! The Dutch baby is soft and fluffy its big but it's not too big. The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is homey. This is definitely the best breakfast spot you can hope for around this side of town.

My all time favorite place to go for breakfast! Wonderful staff. My favorite items to order are their fluffy omelettes and French toast. My husband loves their pancakes and the thick cut bacon is so delicious.

This place is always pretty busy when I go here. I live in the area and prefer this over Waffle House or Ihop especially for fast breakfast food. I usually get the corned beef hash which is pretty good and pancakes which I like they have a malty flavor to them. The coffee is decent I cant complain. Just be prepared to wait in there lil waiting area if the parking lot looks packed.

I have been going to this location since the mid eighties. That's a long time for a business to be successful. I don't get there often but I am always so pleased when I do. Real half and half in the coffee. Real maple syrup ( at least I think it is) and the quality is always the same every single time thanks to the cook who has been there for over thirty years. I always get blueberry pancakes, two eggs over medium and bacon and I gotta say it is the best pancakes and bacon ever!!! I always have to give the cook a shout out. I hope he gets good pay for keeping this place in business because it is quite obvious he takes ALOT of pride in what he does and expects the rest of the kitchen to do the same. Love this place and hope it never leaves.

Banana pancakes with fresh squeezed orange juice! The 30 minute wait with a line out the door says alot about this lil spot in Stone Mountain. The building could use some renovations and will make you think twice but the food is great!

Bacon Pancakes. Okay, I'll say more especially since that's not even what I ordered. Someone with me did. I got the sour-dough flap jacks and I can't wait to go get more. The bacon... perfect, thick cut and crispy. The coffee is Royal Cup (my favorite restaurant coffee). Service was FAST and nice. They answered all our bagillion questions about the food.

Been here twice. The first time, I only had the French Toast and didn't think that was enough of an experience to warrant a review. The second time I went just a couple of days ago with a friend, because it's the closet breakfast place to me. I also got to try the pancakes, which I think everyone should try before writing a review. It is the namesake of the store, after all. The first time was a while back, and I don't remember much. But what stands out is the French Toast. Heavenly, and served on a legit roll of french bread. Even though it's been a while, I would tell people about how good the French Toast was. This time, I got the Peach Pancakes, and a side of Potatoes. The potatoes were over-seasoned, and a bit greasy... But he Peach Pancakes were ridiculous. Made with brandied peaches, came with home made whipped cream, and a luscious sauce. The Peach Pancakes are the reason I've given this place 4 stars, instead of 3. They were really that good. My companion got the Vegetarian Omelet, which was rubbery and over-cooked on the outside but fluffy and nice on the inside. The coffee was pretty good, as well, and served with a cute pitcher of fresh cream. Also, I'm pretty sure our waitress was new because she messed up our order and seemed nervous. I imagine given the proper time and training, she'll get the hang out it, but as it were, the service was just so so. Understandable, though. All in all, if you come here wanting a 4 or 5 star experience, I'd definitely say stick with the pancakes. They're a little pricey, but still very very good.
